Camille Cabral
In 1993, she created the Prevention and Action for Health and Work of Transsexuals Group (PASTT), for the integration of transsexual into society. PASTT had been working in prevention of VIH/AIDS in transsexual population, a labor that was development in Paris, with illegal immigrants from different countries. Some years ago this work gave support to about one hundred people. Transsexual population is majority dedicated to sexual work, a work that Camille Cabral demands to State recognition and labor status. She gave support to many groups of horns to organization, and had collaborated with the “Bitch Prides”. She is a fighter against pimps and traffic of persons.
She had been part of France politics because she was the first transsexual elected for a public position, in the period of 2001 to 2008. But in 2006, she was retired of her charge for members of the party in which she postulated (The Greens, ecologist party in France). She postulated as independent in 2007 but she only conquered a minimum average of votes.
