Violeta and Zulema
Hello,
¿How are you? The thing is that I'm undergoing self-medication and I don't know if I'm doing right. I'm from Pachuca (Lambayeque) and there isn't enough information. Could you help me.
Violeta

Hello, I'd like to ask for information about how to start the procedures to change identity documents, because in this province of San Juan it is something new and we want to make it the right way. In 2007 in Argentina the contraventional code was eliminated, girls are not repressed under any circumstance. The friend that wants to do it will not undergo a change of sex. I'll be waiting for you answer.
A big hug,
Zulema

Dear Violeta,
Although we have already sent you the information about the consequences of the hormonal changes, I invite you to visit some of the suggested webpages, which can give you more specialized information about the medication used in this process, but it would be good if you could also get advice from a doctor.
Also, try to verify the information that comes with the medication before you use it, especially if you belong to a risk group or if you have a disease. If you have any further doubts please don't hesitate to contact us. Your query made us start researching about available medication so we can publish a report which at least will allow you to know the effects and foresee any unexpected consequences, I trust that our next issue will have that information. In this one we are publishing a detailed article about the use of silicon and its alternatives.
Likewise, if you would like to share with us the situation of the trans population in your city, it would be very valuable and surely of general interest for our community.

Dear Zulema, Thanks a lot for your query, it made us check and get more detailed information about trans law in Buenos Aires. Last year, in December, the “
Plan for sexual rights and diversity” was approved in Buenos Aires, for the erradication of discrimination and to guarantee the rights of trans people. As in many other capitals, much of what is approved there takes a lot of time to be applied and regulated in the provinces, so maybe it will be necessary for you to wait a little before this plan is made effective in your city, but you can already appeal to it to justify any change of name as your legitimate right to have an identity. We have found some other Argentinian regulations that provide a framework for the respect of your rights, so there at least you have an instrument that you can validate in your city. In this issue, we are publishing these documents for the information of all our Argentinian friends and for the rest of the trans community.
Sincerely yours,
