Alondra. The story of a transsexual.
As the title says, this is not a story of super heroes and wonder women, but a story of courage. Alondra was born as a man and will have an appointment in Thailand the next month to make her dream come true: a surgery and sex change. This operation is seven thousand euros. In order to get the money she works as a prostitute.
Her story is very similar to many other stories. She left school when she was 16 years old, and realized about transgender issues at a very early age. Alondra left home in Venezuela to live in Barcelona where she is a resident right now.
She has the plane ticket to Thailand but needs the money for the operation. A partner has threatened her on cutting her face so she had to leave her place of work and get another to save the money needed for the operation.
The documentary is the search pf Alondra for assembling her body and mind. It is important to say that this documentary was on a Spanish TV channel, giving more details about trans people daily lives.
