The record book of intolerance. Deeds say more than a thousand words

But this is the first time that the UN explicitly stands against any form of discrimination against trans, gays, lesbians and bisexuals.

However, it is necessary that these intentions land in specific procedures, laws, regulations and functional instruments which are necessary for them to come true. If not, we are going to continue witnessing deeds like those which unfortunately continue increasing the record book of intolerance.
In Honduras, the life of Cynthia Nicole has been claimed, she was a leading defendant of the rights of transgender people in that country. Unidentified people shot her thrice in the chest and once in the head, causing her immediate death. A prompt solution is expected for this case, because there is incriminating evidence and the victim was well known. However, the LGBT organizations in Honduras have denounced many cases that have gone unpunished, even though they have reached international instances.

Many times the acts of intolerance do not cause the death of the victim, but they do affect seriously their health and integrity. Such is the case of Dayana Nicole, from Shilcayo, Tarapoto, in the Peruvian jungle, who on the 22 nd January was stabbed 20 times and had to be operated immediately in order to save her life. She had just been crowned as “Miss Gay Tarapoto”. Dayana is a transvestite who works in a beauty saloon, which is where the attack occurred. Although the reasons for the crime haven't been explained yet, the confusion created in the minds of people by the trans identities is evident: they are still being attributed to the homosexual identity. They also give rise to violence due to prejudice and misconceptions.

This is the updated record book of cases. We have to remember in order to keep fighting.
